Professor Crystal Pletka is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Earth and Planetary Science. Dr. Pletka received her Bachelors in Marine Science from Coastal Carolina University, her Masters in Geology (Paleontology) from Florida Atlantic University and her PhD in Geology/Paleontology from Florida International University. Her teaching focuses primarily on the evolution of life, introductory geology, and the effects of climate change on the earth system. Her research is more heavily focused on paleontology, biostratigraphy and paleoenvironmental interpretations.
